The Beaumont Venue
How The Beaumont got its name:
The Beaumont name stems from somewhat of a love story between Josie and Ransen: The two of them had only known each other for a couple of weeks when Ransen asked Josie to travel to Colorado for a Hayes Carll concert. Josie was also a fan of the Americana country artist so she agreed and the two of them took off for the foothills of Colorado to the Mishawaka Amphitheatre. During the concert, Hayes Carll played a slow song called ‘Beaumont’ and it was the first dance the couple shared. The song called ‘Beaumont’ would not only be their first dance as a new couple but their first dance together as husband and wife on their wedding day.
When trying to decide the name for their new venue, Beaumont came up on the list. They learned the word Beaumont actually meant “lovely hill” and with the location of the barn sitting atop a hill along with the importance of the song, it was undoubtedly the perfect name for the new wedding venue.

Owners Ransen & Josie Broders
Ransen and Josie are very excited to offer an amazing space for people to host their events! The couple began talking about the idea after they had limited choices for local venues to host their wedding reception. Together they decided to turn their talking into action.
Ransen is lifelong Wayne American. He's a big fan of Wayne High sports being a former Blue Devil athlete himself. Ransen has been a builder for Heritage Homes in Wayne for over 10 years, but his true passion is for the outdoors, hunting and fishing. Along with his love for the outdoors, Ransen is a true music enthusiast, with both family and friendly ties to local bands such as The Leafy Spurge Band and Cactus Flats. He hopes to incorporate his love of sports, outdoors, and music into the good things to come at The Beaumont.
Josie has lived in Wayne since meeting Ransen in 2012. She is originally from the Hubbard, Nebraska area and grew up around farming, trucking, and flowers. The business of weddings and events has always been a part of her everyday life, with her mother being in the decorating and floral industry. It only seemed natural to continue in that path and pursue her passion for event planning and owning her own venue.
